Creative Director 

• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or related creative art equivalent 

• Ten plus years of experience in apparel graphics design for the retail market, at least 5 of which is management/leadership roles 

• Experience with Screen pint & illustration ON fleece & jersey garments is highly preferred 

• Experience with fashion-forward graphics design in mass retail distribution is highly preferred

• Proficient in Adobe suite as well as PowerPoint  

The Creative Director demonstrates passion for apparel graphics design and graphic trend research & development. Creative Director will focus on the development of industry-leading graphic design; highly illustrative and complex in its attribution. The director is responsible for art direction of all graphic designs associated with men's, women's, boys' and girls' sportswear, casual wear and athletic apparel with an emphasis on jersey and fleece products. The director establishes the strategic direction to achieve timely seasonal sample lines insuring that all final art is completed according to established policies & procedures.  Additional responsibilities include direction & management of graphic design projects and presentation collateral. The creative director will establish and maintain strong business partner relationships with sales management, clients, and other business constituents. The director works directly with the production facility on all final art insuring top quality & efficiency while driving new decoration techniques & possibilities.  Provides mentoring, professional and skills development and support of graphics team associates.

Creative Designer (Men's) 

• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or equivalent industry related experience 

• Six years related experience in apparel graphic design for the retail market(s)

• Mastery of Macintosh computer and graphic design software

Allied Materials & Equipment is looking for a graphic design intern for the product development
department of Springbok Puzzles (www.springbok-puzzles.com). The ideal candidate will have expert
knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite, be excited by the prospect of designing products for specific
market demographics, and enjoy jigsaw puzzles (either currently or at some point in your childhood)!

After an initial training period in which you will be exposed to the product line and consumer research,
you will be given the responsibility of finding and creating images suitable for becoming jigsaw puzzles.

Under guidance, the selected images will be critiqued, edited, surveyed, licensed and brought to press.
The student will be involved in every step of this process, and gain a strong understanding of product
development and how a company licenses artwork from independent artists.

Review of current product line, what makes a jigsaw puzzle
Image creation/selection process
Artwork licensing process
Final – Print production ready artwork
