Intern with the KC Symphony



The Kansas City Symphony is looking for interns in their marketing department. Interns will work 10-15 hours/week and assist in managing different aspects of marketing and customer service, including print ads, website, phone apps, graphic design, email marketing, social media, direct mail and fulfillment. 

Interns must have knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite and familiarity with social media and content management systems. Must be detail oriented and excellent with organizational and communication skills. Multimedia skills a plus, including audio and video editing.

Internship with Foot Traffic



POSITION: Part-time Spring/Summer Intern for FOOT TRAFFIC, an
international fashion legwear design and wholesale company. They are growing and need the keen skills of someone from the fashion community that understands branding, website support, social media, and has a strong graphic design sensibility.
The job may vary day to day but the primary responsibilities will include:

PHOTOGRAPHY.
Photographing the product to upgrade the catalog and website product shots

DATA ENTRY
Inputing data to support the changing model line and content updates

GRAPHIC DESIGN
Ability to use FT’s existing fashion photography to create compeling siders and email visuals for the website. Must be proficient in Photoshop, INdesign, and Illustrator. Good typography and layout skills important.

BLOG POSTING
Blog post formatting, design and implementiation. To include graphic layouts, link-sourcing,etc. Must have Wordpress experience and working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.

SOCIAL MEDIA
Must have working knowledge of our social media such as Facebook,Twitter, and Pinterest.

Intern with the World War 1 Museum




Seeking: a highly creative, detail-oriented and talented junior or senior year student majoring in graphic design to get hands-on experience in creating real-time deliverables and concepts for university credit.   

General Purpose: Provide production support to the Museum designer in producing print and Internet-based materials. Assist in creative development and concepts. Maintain the Museum brand across all materials.  

This is an opportunity to understand the role that graphic design plays in a Museum and professional environment, to see what it takes to concept, design, and layout pieces from beginning to end in a practical environment, and to see how the creative department works with Marketing, Development, Education, Curatorial, Retail, and Executive departments to complete a job.

A key project will be capturing high-quality images and creating persuasive website copy for new products on the Museum's e-commerce site.

Requirements for Consideration: Portfolio of work and personal design statement. A good eye for high-end design and style. Ability to create, manipulate, and execute photographs and descriptions for online Museum Store products.  Team player in a fast-paced setting.  Passion for learning and graphic design. Ability to communicate clearly verbally and in writing.  Ability to consistently complete tasks and meet deadlines. Must be current on design production software with preferences to Adobe Creative Suite 5.

Paid Internship at REACTOR

Sporting KC Internship!




Sporting Kansas City is seeking a design intern to join their creative team for the fall semester (September–December). The ideal individual is a self-motivated, enthusiastic design student ready to create materials in support of marketing efforts for both Sporting KC and Sporting Innovations.

The candidate will work between 10-12 hours per week. Scheduling is flexible and will adapt to fit student’s availability during the Monday through Friday work week.

This internship is for class credit only, and is not paid.

AFSC Peace Internship Opportunity



The American Friends Service Committee Peace Internship has an opportunity for students who might be interested in this unique opportunity to gain experience working for peace and nonviolent social change. 

This is a paid, part-time internship requiring 8-10 hours a week which will take place during the 2013-14 school year.

The Peace Interns will conduct peace and justice activities designed to engage high school-aged youth in several peacemaking projects and provide program support to Kansas City American Friends Service Committee peace education and social action work.
