Designer needed at the University of Missouri Extension










MU Extension is an academic division of the University of Missouri, integrated with various schools and colleges at all four campuses of the University of Missouri and Lincoln University. The primary purpose of this position is to provide timely original graphic arts design and layout services that support MU Extensions publication and web projects. 

Project content will range from promotional to educational and will require design proficiency in a variety of formats such as web pages, guidebooks and academic publications, as well as marketing materials such as brochures, flyers, displays and branded collateral.


-Design layouts for print publications such as newsletters, brochures, academic books and specialty materials.
-Design layouts for web page concepts.
-Design graphic elements and illustrations for use in special projects.
-Design logo treatments and visual identification elements for programs.
-Design original templates for use by field faculty and staff (letterhead, Publisher PowerPoint, web pages.)
-Create original work through digital photographic arts and digital photo manipulation.

Intern with Beveridge Seay's KC Office





















Internationally recognized Washington DC-based branding firm, Beveridge Seay, is seeking a graphic design intern for Kansas City office. 

As an intern you will be responsible for supporting senior staff in design and project execution in a predominately print environment. Applicants must be able to demonstrate proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, ex

cellence in design and execution, and attention to detail.

Please note that a dedicated workspace with 27 inch thunderbolt display will be provided, but intern must provide own laptop with current software.

Status: 10-15 hours per week
Term: Fall Semester 2013 (to start immediately)
Schedule: Negotiable
Compensation: $10 per hour

2013 Card Design Challenge







































TwoSmiles by HP (Hewlett-Packard) is hosting a design contest for students to win cash prizes totaling $10,000 for computers, art supplies, books and other school expenses! It’s a perfect way for design students to apply their classroom knowledge to a real world situation where 20 finalists will have their designs featured on our website. TwoSmiles is an HP product that combines a greeting and gift card in one that you can print at home.
