Brian Dougherty is a founding partner at Celery Design Collaborative in Berkeley, California and a recognized leader in the emerging field of ecological communications design. Together with the team at Celery, Brian does cutting-edge design and brand strategy work for green businesses and major corporations such as HP, eBay and Mattel. Celery was named to I.D. Magazine's 2007 ID40 list of influential designers, and has been recognized with the Environmental Leadership Award from the AIGA. Brian is a frequent lecturer on the subject of ecological innovation.

Brian is the author of Green Graphic Design from Allworth Press and a frequent lecturer on the ecological innovation in communications design. He sits on the Advisory Board of the AIGA Center for Sustainable Design. Brian graduated summa cum laude from Loyola University with a BA in graphic design and specialization in sculpture.
